The current on overhead lines is ordinarily either oscillating, with a relatively low frequency, or direct.
As such, the associated wavelength is very much longer than the typical
distance between the lines, or the height of the lines above the ground.
Consequently the electromagnetic field behaves very much as it would
for a static problem, and the radiative terms can be ignored.
